The Angel of JOY brings peace to me. I absolutely love her. If positioned in the right lighting she actually glows.
She reminds me to find that quiet place in all the hustle and bustle of the holidays. She reminds me to fill my heart with joy and gratitude for all the blessings in my life.
Is it just me... Because I made her? No. I feel I would feel the same way even if I wasn't so close. The beauty of art is extraordinary.
I will have a select number of these available at Frostyland during stroll on state (in City Hall) November 28 starting at 3 PM .
Thanks for stopping by. Xox Lisa Frost]]>

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? Me too.
I created this Frosty Football with interchangeable ribbons so that you can show your team spirit. Football ribbon colors can be changed to the colors of your team. For instance, Bear fans can choose orange and blue ribbons... Packer Fans can choose green and gold ribbons...and you can change them as you desire.
How FUN!
Order in my shop and send reply back with your team colors. Easy!

I did it! I measured the corn today. I live in the Midwest...and cornfields are all around. This is the 4th year I have go out into the fields to check. I hope to keep doing this until I am an old, old lady. I am 5' 7". So I hope that helps as you consider how tall the corn is.
"Knee high by the 4th of July" is an old farmer saying, meaning your corn better be knee high by the 4th or your crop could be a failure. According to my Frosty Almanac we are "head high" and our future looks BRIGHT!!! Happy Birthday America!
On a side note, my photo was featured in a car ad from a dealership in Michigan. I'm happy to say they are getting FROSTY!
Hahahaha.
Have a safe and Happy 4th!!!]]>

Stand-out from the crowd with these watermelon Jell-O shots that can be served on my little Frosty Flag.
Super easy!
Here's what you do: cut limes in half, Scoop out lime's, make strawberry or watermelon Jell-o, add vodka to Jell-o recipe when it calls for cold water, pour into limes that you line in a cake pan. Let set in fridge for 4 hours. Cut into wedges and serve!

These are the Boylan Senior Varsity Soccer Players- Class of 2015. John C. Maxwell once said, "Your life is like carrying a torch. Your job is to make it as bright and vibrant as possible. And when the time comes, you hand your torch off." These seniors have done just that. They have carried a bright and shiny torch. As we near the end of the school year and the season, the Seniors get ready to hand off their torch. This is their party...
I spearheaded the event with the help of the Underclassmen girls and families. Debbie Videris designed and sent the awesome invitation and arranged all the RSVPs and desserts. And we started out the week by decorating the players lockers at school. The underclassmen girls helped me make the signs...
The girls painted posters and parents decorated the stadium(thank you Kelly Parnello for laminating all the photos)... the girls walked the field proudly with their parents. We played Jefferson and it was a shut-out 7-0. After the game, the team and the families celebrated the girls in the school cafeteria... (HUGE thank you to Jim Norwood for the Big Heads, Paul Johansen and Lynell Campbell for the Photos and Lisa Fiorenza for arranging the flowers.).
We made a keepsake book with a BEAUTIFUL letter from their parents (HUGE thanks to my friend Dawn Preston and Tracy Krahmer for helping me create it. And Tracy, for help with photos and gifts.), a fun questionnaire about their favorite things, baby photos and awesome team photos(Paul Johansen Photography)...
We made them a polar fleece tie-blanket with a personalized patch sewn onto the blanket (HUGE thank you to my friend Peggy who did the sewing)...and wrapped them in creative grocery bags!
We made a keepsake placemat with a fun team photo and a personal message from all the girls...
I asked the players to tell me what Emojii they feel when they are playing soccer...and we turned them into table decorations...
For something fun and artsy...I made them a wooden soccer ball, photo holder for their bedrooms...
We had a pizza party! (Thank you Paul Heitkamp and Boylan for providing. Thank you parents for the desserts.) But the best part of the night was the speeches the girls had written for one another, and their coaches and families. These girls are extraordinary and special. They have outstanding character. I am certain they all have a bright future!!! What a wonderful night...

If you've ever been to New Orleans you'll certainly remember the Hurricane (or maybe not-hahahaha!) It is a ritual of the French Quarter to have the speciality drink "the Hurricane" at Pat O'Briens. It is very sweet and deceivingly strong. (I can only drink one...or two!)
Since today is Mardi Gras, I think it ever so appropriate to make Hurricanes. Enjoy!
Ingredients
2 ounces of light rum
2 ounces of dark rum
2 ounces of grenadine
1 ounce of simple syrup
Juice of two limes
2 ounces of orange juice
Wedge of orange, for garnish
Cherries, for garnish
Instructions
Mix everything in a shaker. Fill a hurricane glass half full of ice - crushed ice is great. Pour mixture on top and top off with extra ice; garnish with an orange slice and some cherries. Drink responsibly. Enjoy.
*If you want to make it a bit easier, use Hawaiian Punch in lieu of Grenadine.
Thank you Deep South Dish for the recipe. xox lisA fRosT]]>

Happy Christmas Eve morning! Are you ready for Santa? Do you have a batch of cookies for him? Well, here is a good recipe for you!
The Italian Chocolate Cookie is a part of my thread, my being, my childhood. Every Italian girl has an Chocolate cookie recipe. This recipe is from my Godmother, Aunt Pauline Licari. (In the corner of her recipe card, she made a note..."have FUN". I love that!)
Merry Christmas!
8 c sifted flour
2 Tbsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 c cocoa (unsweetened)
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
3 c sugar
5 eggs
1 1/2 shortening
2 Tbsp vanilla
2 c milk
8 oz chopped pecans
Sift flour with baking soda and baking powder; add the sugar to the flour. Add cocoa, cloves and cinnamon. Blend ingredients well. Cream shortening with eggs; add vanilla and mix well. Combine the flour mixture with the shortening and egg mixture, alternating with the milk. Add nuts to mix. Shape into small balls about 1 inch and laced on greased cookie sheets, and flattened lightly with fingers. Place an inch apart. Bake at 350" for 15-20 minutes until done. Frost with simple icing.
Simple FROSTing/icing
In my mixer
I poured in a 1/2 bag of powdered sugar
1 tsp of Anise
1 tsp of lemon juice
and slowly added milk to get it to frosting consistency

I believe in signs.
It's a FUN way to get through life.
So, when I see a spider crawl across something, I believe it is a sign that creative inspiration is on-it's-way!!!
To get things going in the creative inspiration department...I made these cookies. Bahahahahaha!!! And bonus? They are cute for Halloween...
The cookies are so easy to make with a few store-bought goodies...
1. Slice and Bake Peanut Butter Cookies from the refriderator section of the grocery
2. Bake according to directions
3. Place a chocolate covered almond and malted milk ball into the cookie while it is still hot.
4. Draw in 8 legs with a gel writer (found in the baking aisle of the grocery)]]>

The Cross Body Bag will go on sale October 1st at 10 am.
You will receive an email giving you the directions for purchase. You will place your order online. If you are local, you will have a "local pick-up" option.
WE only have a limited quantity so first come-first served...please sign up for my mailing list to ensure you get the email!
