"When I was younger, I always dreamed of becoming an artist.  I would try to draw everything that inspired me." Meet Alicia Porter.  She is one of our 2013 Frost & Friends Scholarship winners.  She will be a junior in the fall at East High School. Her art teacher, Michelle Dal Pra, said," Alicia is a joy to have in class.  She has a great attitude, sense of humor and good work habits. She is always punctual, helpful and dependable.  Alicia gets along well with her classmates and takes a leadership role in the class by setting the pace for the projects.  She is a very motivated, creative, and talented student. From the moment I met Alicia she showed great interest and passion for the arts.  She is able to work independently and thoroughly thinks about her composition and color choices when planning.  Alicia frequently takes her artwork home and spends countless hours to complete her projects.  She takes great pride in her work and strives to perfect learned techniques."   "I want this scholarship because art is my passion."
