I love to paint portraits. Ever since I can remember I have loved painting portraits. In fact, Mom and Dad have a family portrait that I created as a child still hanging in their home.There is something about it that feels so natural to me. This Christmas, I struggled about what to give (the hardest person to buy for)...my husband. Then it came to me. I would create something original and special. I took note of him saying that he loves having pictures of "his girls". I worked from a photo that had the approval of both Maddie (15) and Libbie (13), (you know how they are at that age). I gave it to him on Christmas morning. He loved it. He hung it in his favorite spot. I think it will be interesting to refer back to it as the girls grow and change.
